WELCOME to "Needlework on the Internet". My forty+ years of classroom teaching around the country ended in 2008 and since then I have been involved in the exciting new adventure of a website where I can continue to share my knowledge of needlework and its history.
Look for my old and new needlework books, articles about embroidery techniques and cyberclasses. I also will offer you many snippets of needlework history, using my slide and image collection of extant pieces of needlework from the late Middle Ages and the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Visit websites that I feel are fun or good resources, and visit a gallery not only of some of my students' work but also the work of other contemporary needle artists.
As we share stories and photos that "tickle our fancy", the development of this website will be an ongoing journey for me. I hope you will visit often, always finding something of special interest.
